Offer a light color theme alternative for the forum again please.

I'm unable to stare at high contrast white text on a black background for more than a few seconds without being nauseous for quite a while. In fact I had to type this out in notepad and paste it into your new forum.

Can you enable a light theme again please? Until there is one I can't use the ED forum.

There are light styles, but they don't seem to override the specific game sub forums.

While it doesn't bother me personally in a way that prevents me using the forums, as an aesthetic preference black on light is always better, I think I have gone back to the 90's in web design, worse is not allowing customisation of colours. I can use them, but they are very annoying in white on black.

Oh yes while we are on forum functionality just like to bring up the section below that says "similar threads," lets list what's there;

Mission counter offers

Increase luxury cabin passenger missions........

Stations producing rare commodities.......

An offer of in-game unlimited materials.......

Offer to sell limpets on ship exchange......

Ok I get that there aren't going to be many similar thread, so just leave it blank rather than grabbing random threads from through the forums, I can only see this new forum as going backwards in functionality and usefulness. I mean even enclosing the above few lines with quite marks made me sit there for around 5 seconds while this coloured bar flashed across the top of the screen.....a feature that used to be instant on the old forums.

If I look at white on black for too long, when I look away I see bars. It's probably not healthy.

HOWEVER, while typing in this box, which is white on grey, it's absolutely fine.

White text on black background hurts my eyes.

There is a button on the bottom right (a little paintbrush with "Elite Dangerous" next to it) that is supposed to change the theme, but it doesn't seem to work.

I'm using this with stylus to make the text gray. It really helps.

For me, the white background and black text hurt my eyes. Also, it makes it harder for someone who just viewing the forums before bedtime. It could make it harder for a user to fall asleep.

So we have two different postings here, where one states that white on black hurts his eyes, while the other says the same about black on white.

I guess the only reasonable way to go is to make it green on pink then...

(Or alternatively, it would really be good to be able to select different schemes again. )
