Official LEGO launch the Zorgon Peterson Adder!!

New space Lego is bobbins, so many pre-moulded pieces. I still remember getting this bad boy for Christmas:

That actually had an SRV in the back too, it opened up with clamshell doors, had a ramp that folded down to deploy it and everything.

I remember I lost a couple of the little red bricks that made the landing lights on the base to the vacuum cleaner and I think the cat might have had one of them too. I was heartbroken. :(

So many memories. +1.

Oh, I had so many of these, I'll never forgive myself getting rid of my legos as a teenager!

Around christmas, I treated myself the Research / Space Supply station:

There was another one between the galaxy explorer and the cargo ship I used to have. I loved it.

No they were on clay tablets, young whippersnapper. :p

Actually the Lego was my young brother's. I had Meccano.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Meccano

Did have a little Meccano too but we weren't in a financial position for my parents to support two forms of construction-related toys so I never really had enough of it to make half the stuff I could imagine. Worst thing is my next door neighbours had a huge box of it that used to be their dad's but they spent about 99% of their time playing with enough Action Men to invade North Korea so it never got used. Then the idiots left the box out in the back yard one night and it got rained on, rusted and it was game over.

Joking aside it used to appall me even then (this is when I was about 10) that they had so many toys and games and treated them so badly. I cherished everything I got because I knew if anything happened to it there was no way we could afford to replace it.

This one looks Asp Explorer-ish. Remove the turret and thrusters, add 2 fins and voila!

Oh my, I cannot even guess how many hours I played with that very set as a child.
