Official statement? - Naval Progression Missions

Dear FD.

After only a brief search on the forums it seems that there are many other CMDRs in the same situation as myself - unable to gain rank within our respective navies. Particularly the empire.
Naval Ascention Missions are very bugged!

What is the problem? Can we get an official statement that says something is broken and is getting looked into? :S

We are wasting our time doing missions that is either degrading us or not affecting anything at all - and for 0 credits!
The game is fun - but not that fun!

I have similar problem, getting Empire Naval Ascention Missions, completing mission but no rank given. Missions seems to change owner once accepted.

Today did 2 Empire Naval Ascention Missions for lord and nothing.

Given at the moment I am playing to get my Empire Naval Ascention Missions up, I see little point in playing if system is broken.

Did you check the bug reports forum? It's acknowledged as a problem there, they've said they're looking into it.

It seems the issue is solving itself:

Yesterday I was taking another naval Ascention mission and this one was different from the others - it was the assasination of a high profile enemy (something something) and after completing this one I actually was ranked up!

When looking at this post on how missions are to rank up at the empire:

it is clear that my last few missions have been repeaters from the past.

I think what is going on is that CMDRs are set back a number of Naval Ascention Missions and have to do them again.
Aparently it will look like you get your next rank every time, but in reality you are doing old missions to gain the rank that you already have.

Eventually you will catch up with your current ranking and progress from whatever rank you actually have, but it looks like it could take some time if you have been sets back by far. When reflecting over it, I might even have been set back as far as to no rank at all.

Have faith CMDRs - if i'm right, its all about just doing your Military Missions again and you will progress eventually.

Yep reported, but mission systems seems to be really screwed up at the moment.

The rank progression is bugged, seriously bugged (and I guess missions in general, influence seems to be added to the wrong factions).

- I had to do rank progression missions a few times without results until I ranked up once after that I had to do missions a few time to rank up again. I don't think that CMDRs are set back in there progression. To me it looks more like the system not registering the missions correctly (this could set the progress back because of negative reputation gain, but the main problem seems to be the mission system).

- I suddenly have a high rank (second of the new ranks) in a faction I never did any rank progression missions.

I hope that we don't have to wait that long for the needed hot fixes.

Insult to injury, just logged on to find my Empire rank reduced from Knight to outsider.

they are reverting the revert, so everyone who has unfairly had their ranks taken from them (me included) will be given them back, but they are also allowing everyone who was given fed or empire ranks by mistake to keep those ranks too :-/

Wrong. I did an assassination yesterday, after having done a delivery mission previously which failed to rank me up. Upon completion of the assassination, I still did not rank up. And yes, I went back to the station where I got it, and turned it in and everything. It still wouldn't play ball.

This is particularly frustrating for me as I have been saving up my credits for some time in order to be able to afford a Clipper, and just before Powerplay hit I'd been working on getting the rank to Baron. I'm on Lord right now and no matter what I do I can't advance to Baron. So I'm stuck in my smaller ships, which less cargo space and less firepower, unable to weigh in on other missions as well as I could have, which I'm doing whilst I wait for this to be sorted out, because I can't advance to Baron.

I'm in the same boat as you, ranked up empire just to get the Clipper and ignoring PP until a bigger ship arrives. I've been doing loads of missions but none of them have counted since 1.3

So let me get this straight they tried to fix ranks by stripping titles then giving them back while ignoring those than can't progress at all.

he says in the quote in your post later today? your post was 5 days ago. its still totally screwed up. not just naval ranking up but local factions too. im sitting at 0% neutral with factions i have "donated" hundreds of thousands of credits to. remember the before steam days when they would release an update and they would patch it at least once a day for next few days till it all got fixed up? i miss those days. i'll come back to the game in a week or two. im throwing my time and in-game money away just now *sigh*
