now im raging...

its reset me back to my hauler after i bought the cobra.... and lost cargo...

8 hrs slogging and this is not good.

What do you mean, reset? Like, after buying a cobra, you were seated back in your hauler?
Maybe you chose to buy cobra and store it in the hangar. Check your ships in the shipyard.

Also you'll get notified that you have to sell cargo prior to buying a new ship. If something went askew you can raise a ticket.

I did my safe run and made 500k to buy the cobra, with enough left over to do some runs and make more cr.

now I stuck looking at a star and honestly can not move..!

60t in either a cobra or a hauler seems a tad unlikely

i think this is a calm down, count slowly to ten, have a nice cup of tea and reassess what might have gone wrong kind of a moment...

Click support on your launcher.

Self destruct is under functions in the right panel

When you die you're put back at the last station.

So just to clarify (I think this is what happened).

  • Buy new ship (a Cobra), obviously you're sat at a station
  • Leave station, you then die without docking at another station
  • When you respawn you're not given your Cobra back, the only option you see if the ship before

Essentially the key part here being you never actually docked in your new ship?

So the game essentially put you to the state you were when you last *arrived* at a station, not when you last *left* the station.

If that's the case yeah I'd agree it's a a bug, in that technically you could say it's working right but really it's not how it would work in reality.

I sympathise. =(

if you had enough insurance money... which i suspect you didnt. or you can take out a loan... or if this is a bug, those awfully nice ED people might take pity on your plight

Yeah OP, it appears you've found a nasty bug. Ticket it & patiently wait for FDev to fix your save. I would advise against Self Destructing, as you could end up still in a Hauler & unable to move
