Oh for flip sake!!!!

I am not one of those people complaining, but I should point out that luck was not involved. Money was.

Not entirely true since how much money (and education/healthcare etc...) you have are decided by where you happen to be born. This can get very philosophical fast though so we better leave it alone. ;)

After all...we have an Alpha to play!!! Soon... :D

A fair point. Unless you were lucky to have the money in the first place, then luck played a role a very meta way. Far out.

I've been waiting longer than anybody here (3 days, almost) so I think i have a right demand that version 3 come out right now. That's not unreasonable. If it doesn't I'll have to do housework, and that's just bulls#!t.

I reserve the right to complain from the comfort of my toilet, thanks to technology. These are real concerns. It's time to have some space fun with lasers and docking and...uh....helping to test out the product. Yes, very important that last part.

Alpha testers should just think themselves lucky to be in the position they are and stop their crying about lack of updates etc.
Alpha 3 will be released when FD consider it ready, no amount of tears is going to make them release it sooner. Just imagine if they did and Alpha 3 turned out to be so buggy it was totally unplayable - The same people would cry about that.
Just continue to live in the real world for just a little bit longer

But we have seen people playing it at the bafta already! So we know it works!! He he.

Not going to get into any argument.
Luck as in - Lucky enough to be able to afford joining the Alpha team
Indeed. Lucky as in - Lucky enough to not be born in the nineteenth century or in a third world country. If you can afford a PC in the first place, blah blah, Oculus Rift, blah blah...

I was pointing out that the sense of entitlement comes from the money that was spent, not on the luck involved.

Lucky suggested to me that our names were pulled out of a FD hat and Alpha was given away to a few lucky winners, for no financial outlay.

Quite amusing thread.

Listen all you people, come gather round
I gotta get me a game plan, gotta shake you to the ground
But just give me, huh, what I know is mine
People do you hear me, just gimme the sign
It ain't much I'm asking, if you want the truth
Here's to the future for the dreams of youth

I want it all (give it all - I want it all)
I want it all (yeah)
I want it all and I want it now

I expect a lot more people could have paid for the alpha, but choose to spend their money on other things.

I spend my spare cash on holidays, if I said I wanted to spend £200 on game instead a holiday to girlfriend... she would not have been happy. :D

'Twas a joke.

Besides, that knife point isn't nearly fine enough to split hairs.

My 'rants' about the new Alpha release are meant as a joke, I thought it was obvious.

I'm happy as a loon, sitting here with a big dopey grin just waiting for Elite Alpha 3.0 and SC DFM. Life is good.

No?... Really?... :eek::smilie:
