This is mining at it's best! If only this was a normal and not the exception mining would land me 700k in about 30-40 minutes.

Most mining would be good if the mechanics got improved. As things are, i don't think I'd dare mine in anything heavier than a Cobra.

I was planning on upgrading to a asp to mine with. I still am about 3 mil from the ship.

The problem is the Cobra is the last(in good meaning) ship you can scoop; moreover if you have a 100t capacity mining is just a waste of time.
But I agree with OP if every asteroid had that ratio I wouldn't mind mining too or if we had a substitute for scooping like tractor beam or collecting droids.
