Oh man! 7,000 Ly just to find out I can't finish a mission

Don't give up OP! I ran into the same problem and raged for a while, but then I returned with a better jump range and more jumponium. I made a thread about the route I took, you do need about 45 LY jump range but that's more than acquireable given how long you have to complete the mission. Here's my thread:

Thanks for posting this. I had no idea that some of the missions had such requirements.

For certain, these kinds of missions could have a note applied, just like the wanted passengers notice.

FD - If you are listening a couple of warnings (and bonus payments) on the trickier exploration missions would go down well.
