CQC Oh No, Im close to dying, I think Ill just crash at full speed into the nearest asteriod

Well since theres nothing to lose by doing so, might as well commit suicide and get a nice new ship

I actually saw an eagle parked near an asteriod, and EVERY time he was near death -

full reverse > hit asteriod > death > new ship > player kill denyed

Im just going to give it a miss for a while until the devs wake up and address this.

Most games address this by removing a kill from your total score. So... in team deathmatch, for instance, say your team was up 20 - 19 and you suicided to deny the enemy a point, the score would be reduced and show 19 - 19 afterwards.

I didn't think this was possible? Pretty sure I've gotten kills from people who crashed against walls after I damaged them.

I've done that a few times by mistake - even when I run away I still try to face the enemy using flight assist off. Trouble is you can't see where your going so asteroids do like to say hi even when you thought you'd aimed for a clear region of space :D

Also I can tell you when you die to something like that, the camera always zooms to the last person who hit you.

It credits the damaging player with the kill if the target goes and boosts into the side of the wall.

At least that's been my experience when my FA Off maneuvers have gone wrong :)
