Do I sense a sort of twisted satisfaction in this post? If so... why?

The last days I followed all available news in the internet regarding the Rift. Why do I get the impression that so many people dash at every negative point (existent or made up) like vultures and blow it up until it fills the whole vision and blocks out every awesome?

I don't speak about balanced reviews here. Negative things have to be mentioned and can be discussed, of course!
But the general tenor is so much affected by something that seems to be the sheer lust of seein it fail, FUD and even badly covered schadenfreude.

Again: where does this come from, why is this so? Do they WANT to see VR fail? Or Oculus in specific?

The ToS are for the Oculus store and the wording is required for them to sell developer content. Don't fall for the FUD.
