Oh what a perfect day...

Fairy nuff. I think the most stars I've seen an ELW in orbit around is 4 (ABCD 1),here's a pic :

Orbiting 7 would have been quite remarkable. Let alone the idea of life evolving on a planet with an insane orbit like that. :)

Edit : ok, I found one orbiting 5 at once :

And then there's this one... In orbit around a black hole, neutron, white dwarf and a K class all at once? Crazy. Would astro-physicists on that planet find it easier or harder to work out how the universe works with a local sky like that?

It's crazy to think what life would be like on such worlds. Around a black hole? With 7 separate sunrises and sunsets? It would be remarkable. Sadly, Earth itself is boring and only orbits 1 boring G-Class star :p

edit: wrong thread, there is nothing to see!

scouting a path in my silly-ships-expedition DBS down to the real galaxy supergiant HD 268757, which some essay from the 80ies lists as one of the five brightest objects in the night sky - and finding it undiscovered with a landable close by.

doesn't look spectacular, but was!

Nice job...deep down I hate you though :p cause I don't know how many stupid planets I've scanned and yet to find one not yet discovered. All I find are water worlds, water worlds everywhere!

I've never found a system with two earth likes. I've never found more than two on the same day (and that only twice). I once tagged 6 in just over 24 hours but that was winged with Chiggy and he found 5 of them...

Until today.

In 12 systems, and 220 light years I just found 4. One was a moon and two were in the same system (it only took me 20,602 goes...). When I pinged the ADS on the last one and saw two all but certain ELWs I let out a cheer that I was momentarily certain would lead to children waking up to see what was happening (fortunately not).

Still need a ringed one, and one that's a moon of a gas giant rather than an HMC but I'm still feeling pretty good right now. In a way I could never explain to anyone other than my fellow ED explorers...

PS - the ELW in the double system were both part of binary systems, one with an HMC and one with a WW, both CFT. As was the second WW in the system.

Holy crap!!! That was a perfect day!!
