OK are there any ways to make Anti-Aliasing in Odyssey better now?

Any new tips or tricks to help with AA in Odyssey? I just came back from a long hiatus and was curious if there were any new developments on this issue?

No, not really.

The game's AA hasn't improved and the only meaningful third party option that wasn't also an option when Odyssey was released is DLDSR, which only works on NVIDIA RTX parts.

My monitor's resolution is 1440p and have an RTX 3090. I enabled the nvidia's latest resolution scaling:

In the Nvidia control panel, under global or elite dangerous preset:
  1. DSR - Factors 2.25x DL OR 1.78x DL (I chose 2.25)
  2. DSR Smoothnes: 50% (33% still had visible jaggies. 50 seems good, I might try higher)
  3. Make sure to turn OFF (1x) all antialiasing settings in the game so you don't kill your performance
Jaggies are almost eliminated, but it is super costly in terms of performance. Even with the 3090 I can't maintain 60FPS - for example landing on an odyssey settlement.

Try setting supersampling a bit below 1.00x.

Don't forget, like me, to set your in-game screen resolution to one of the new resolutions to see the difference! On my RTX 3060, I can run at 1.78x with 40-60fps in stations and more in space :)
