Ok CMDR, here's our dev budget, now YOU prioritise it!

So everyone's a dev!

Now here is your chance... you have proved yourself to be a reasonable person on the forums, with everyone's interests at heart.

So, if you were given the opportunity to prioritise five game elements, either currently in-game, or yet to be introduced, what would they be?

For me, it would be...

1. The professions, (in this order),
Exploration,
Piracy,
Smuggling,
Mining,
Trading,
Combat. (did I forget one... silly dev)

2. The Missions System.

3. Planetary game-play.

4. Powerplay.

5. Bring CQC into the main game.
5a. Maybe throw a wee bit of CR into my account, something for a rainy day... ;)

How about you?

First and foremost:

Revamp the engine to support easier implementation of cosmetic products and open up the development of said products to the community.

More paint jobs, better paint jobs, less work for FDev, more money for FDev, happier community.

Then take that extra money and do whatever the hell you want with it. I don't care. I just can't stand watching FDev waste golden opportunities like this.

For the most part I agree with the OP's list, except that I'd move trading above mining, as mining is in a decent place right now, it's biggest issue today is that ice ring mining pays terribly compared to metallic.

Combat mechanics are in a fantastic place right now compared to everything else in the game, combat just needs some more content now, but it's still by far the best aspect of the game currently so yeah it should be at the bottom of the list until other aspects can be fleshed out similarly.

I think it would be pretty cool if they did what ESO and planetside do with PvP. An area that you fight for and win back or lose etc. Just a small area with say 50 systems, all purely for PvP. You pick one of the 3 major powers and fight for systems. All separate, I mean we have 400 billion systems so there's plenty of room. So it would keep the PvP players happy and promote a more co-op Pvp than just randomly killing in the main game. But if you're familiar with ESOs PvP then you'll understand what I mean, if not sorry for the poor explanation :p

ok then

1. Piracy. Needs some love for the pirates to give some background game story and a few more tools other than disabling ship that destructs, but also a proper crime and punishment system so they have to play the consequence. That background game story also supports 2 and 5 with options in 4 if done right as ongoing story with consequences for player engagement.

2. Bounty Hunting. A chance to pick bounties (including players) and have tools to track them down and discriminate to put you in the same instance as them.

3. My personal want, which I want now but recognise other issues are needed first. Exploration tools. Don't really care which one of the numerous suggestions they take as long as we get tools to follow the breadcrumbs

4. Missions. Fixing what is there as priority, but bringing in some for long term story goals as mini CGs whether chasing plot line threads, helping major or minor factions, or simply explore X part of space please.

5. Smuggling. Rather than just taking illegal goods into a station, something needed within back ground plot or taking ship parts into a pirate system with police camped in neighbouring systems trying to catch you at it.

For my 5a, just move 1 of every ship available into my hanger please

1. The Missions System.
2. Bring CQC into the main game.
3. The professions, in this order.

Piracy, mucho potential here, (pirate bases, hide outs, extortion, black mail of station and planetary business and government leaders...,
Smuggling/Black Market, a whole criminal syndicate system)
Trading,
Mining, (I'd never do this but there may be some untapped potential here)
Combat. (good enough just the way it is and good enough is good enough)
Exploration, (almost as mind numbingly boring as mining but hey what ever floats your boat - variety is the spice of life as they say)

4. Powerplay
5. Planetary game play

1. Expanded crime & punishment system with added gameplay for proper criminals
2. Rework PP from the ground up to work within the framework of Minor and Major factions
3. Improve exploration

1 Unlock Polaris and all Barnard's Loop permit zones except col 70. (col 70 can be where the aliens are hiding and I can finally see the Horse Head)
2 Space Legs
3 Landing in atmospheric worlds, and some being hazardous
4 More station/base types and landmarks.
5 Waaayyyyy more bobbleheads. There's so many possibilities.

Also, now that I'm a dev I'd like to discuss my pay, and my office, and travel, and getting to go to conventions and stuff, hell let's just talk about everything.

1. Existing/known bugs.
2. Application and graphics efficiency.
3. Bugs introduced by #2 above.
4. Quality of Life improvements.
5. Bugs introduced by #3 and #4 above,

  • Fix all know bugs or find alternatives to resolve them
  • More content/objects on planets/moons to discover and receive some good rewards
  • More roles for NPC/Player crew members
  • More countermeasures against piracy (like force high jump to unkown location, just to run away)
  • Overclock our ship to get better performance for something, but with side effects like damage in modules, ship and etc
  • Galaxy map filter by reputation with minor factions

1) Apply redirect missions to cartel/mob factions only ---as they are used to working with yes man types

2) Improve the BGS transaction to transaction response from once a day to EVERY HOUR.----or frankly anything that enhances this aspect of the game's experience.

2) QOL improvements paid by IRL cash on the FD store which is used to:

---Pay a team to fix bugs on a weekly basis as do all major and semi major
games today
