unless I went into a res, or some other none mission thing. But thats "Space" as Commander Thane would say.. I wanted to improve faction, gain some credits, earn points towards combat elite, and fly my newly fitted corvette.

- improve faction reputation and influence. go to res/cz
- gain credits. go to res/cz
- earn points towards combat elite. go to res/cz.

no mission needed, but each his own.

before i would search mission boards for hours, i'm off playing the game.

still, it is a mystery with mission availability in some cases.

You could always go hunt Griefers they like to disrupt community goals or go and blast law abiding cmdrs looking at alien ruins.
I'm just flying back from Colonia. If there are no missions available thats what I will be doing. Happy Days.

Funny story....I was at the ruins in my Cutter and deployed into my SLF to take high res pics for analysis (found it much easier) and while the cutter was in hold position, she got grief attacked. That was fun. =/

Oh, there are plenty of things to do besides missions, I get that. But you get bored with hunting, CZs, or having spent much of last few months in the black and want to run some missions for engineer stuff or the new passenger missions, but the boards are strange right now. Good time to take a break is all.

If you are going that rout PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE...... Put at least some Missions on the boards!!!

I've been playing the last 2 hours and most of the Boards have maybe 3 to 5 missions...

Get this Fixed you are killing you're fan base.....

Have moderate passenger and cargo space as well.
Once allied beyond friendly the missions will fill up.

tourism economy, preferable in boom, is your friend.

for exampel almagest, quince, or that alioth independants tourism 1 jump from alioth, phekda, iepelang for the empire etc etc. they basically don't generate anyting beside passenger missions.

I've been couriering between two stations (building navy rank) and today ... no missions in either base! Previously there were lots (30-40) at each planetary base. Now none!!

fyi - Cabrera's Claim (Niu Hsing) and Lebedev Installation (Col 285 sector ... blah blah blah silly name) are the two stations in question - not got time to venture out and check others in the vicinity though.

On the Lookout for a fix for the Transactionserver Overload due to more Missions generated ( Passenger incl. ) there has been a Serverside patch introduced which limited the Maximum sent out Missions to 20. That is why you wouldn't see some 0/0 Factiosn while others had Missions. Once thoose were filled up there were no more given out. On an Attempt to somewhat balance thoose 20 across the available factions ( which was a fix yesterday or today on some transaction servers it seems ) there are now very few missions per faction there.

FDev is aware of this and are working on a fix - imho 20 is too less to give players a reasonable choice with work vs revard & faction. Its currently in place to not cause more problems due Overload while Holiday Season. Sooner or later there has to be a System implemented which dynamically balances Transactionservers - but this takes time.

Relogging / Modeswitching gives you teh chance to connect to a new transaction server with a new set of missions ( Each Transaction Server generates new missions in intervals from 20 mins to 1h based on System State, Economy and so on. ).
If you want alot of missions its at the moment almost unavaoidable to Modeswitch.
