Ok finally tried upgrading and have a couple of questions

Ok, finally found some legacy firmware and went to Farseer last night. Played upgrade lotto and got the following:

Thrusters: +4% with +12% thermal increase.
Powerplant try 1: +4% with +7% thermal and -5 integrity.
Powerplant try 2: +4% with +8 thermal and-7 integrity.

Passed on everything. Are these in line with what others are getting or did I just get unlucky, or was I just being too picky? The negatives seemed kinda large for the small amount of improvement. I'm concerned that if I accept bad upgrades, the effect will accumulate. Also, if you do an upgrade, are you permanently stuck with it, or can you sell it or replace it later?

You can remove mods in the outfitting window. I dunno about the other things.

You can also apply a mod then overwrite it with another or even reroll the same effect and adjust the existing values

To answer your other question, those rolls weren't too bad either.
