Ah mate, wish that was a real system, with a lone station called Albert Hofmann. I'd happily retire listening to Spacemen 3 & Velvet Underground albums for the rest of my days.

the one on the left reminded me of something from the late 90s - "Shattered Steel", but then, after looking at some youtube footage, i can remember that the screen resolution back then was even lower then those in your montage
somehow i wished FDEV would implement some mecha action, since i would love to play again something with a mech similar to my "seth" avatar.

Didn't get them from a game, I do green screen studio work (of people generally), the mechs are taken from my green screen video library. As was the dead astronaut and many such things yet to be put into Elite for fun. My next project is to grab video footage of flying elite ships and put them into weird combat stories. Maybe.
But yes, would be grand to have mech killers wandering around on planets.
