OK posting here because it wont elt me post in the' Elite: Dangerous Bug Reporting' section

I have still got 1.2 and tried to start my game and it directed me to some site saying "a new version of elite dangerous neads to be installed 0.427430/
So I click ---yes---
It then takes me to a site were the little tiny
"you have chosen to open
elitedangerous-client-installer.exe
which is a binary file 11.9mb
from http//hosting.zaonce.net
would you like to open this file?

I click yes obviously...



MOTHING happens but the page goes blank and no update/download.

How do I get my new update?

DO i HAVE to uninstalll origianl game and re-download whole new game or just downlaod the update from somewhere?

helpppp??? plsss

its not very intuative how they have done this update.

Why doesnt the client just update auto?#

can you save elitedangerous-client-installer.exe instead of opening it , then run it once it is downloaded and saved?

Save the new client file, then run the file. Update will occur.

Take a breath, now let it out.

Did you download the 12MB file to your machine? Was it EliteDangerous-Client-Installer.exe?
Making sure that your old launcher is closed, doubleclick the file you downloaded. Click on Next and follow it through until it's updated itself. I just let it install in the file location it offered.
It needs to do install couple of MS runtime things as part of the update.

Once the launcher is updated, you can open it with your shortcut.
Login, email details, ok.
Once the launcher has opened, it should show the Powerplay avatars in the background.
look to the lower left and check that the version is V 2015.06.05 70219 0.4.2743.0.
If it is that version, hit the Upgrade button to update your client.

That will take time depending on your internet connection.

The end result is that your launcher and client are updated and ready for 1.3.

client is updating now and not to far to go by looks of it.

Ill check ver numbers - re Zenith's" info at end just to make sure.
