I've had hostile authority ships, but only while being hostile with the controlling faction. I had no bounty, but boy, would they change direction from all across the system to come and have a go at me.
This one... I've seen it quite often and for a long time. Impressive when it's a Conda shooting his huge plasma accelerator near you... Didn't get caught though so I don't know it it'd deal actual damages. Also noticed that occasionally after an engagement certain security ships continue to fire their weapons at nothing, mainly Eagles and Condas do it...again a bug?
Yeah that's pretty much what happens. Its a bug. I recently have seen both of what you describe and so have my wingmates on different occasions. Sometimes a few cops go rogue and try shooting you down and sometimes they just go insane and attack eachother. Last time i saw it, they had just finished helping me kill a pirate. As soon as the pirate died, 2 of 3 turned on me. It would be a bearable bug if the dirty cops became wanted and triggered a response like pirates do but instead their non hostile comrades turn a blind eye and leave you to rot.
Last time my SLF was far away and my turrets tuned to target only but the first time I had my SLF and turrets on "fire at will"...Yeah, I was testing a new build in a high-res the other day. Specifically, a plasma slug build that I wanted to test out how long it'd last before I had to refuel.
My test session was ended because a couple of the cops just turned red for like, literally no reason. It's a good thing I didn't have anything set to fire at will or a fighter out because they were still clean.
Nope. Multicannons and various lasers. Also I had no warning, no fine, no bounty (at least the last time when I was paying close attention - and they appeared/turned red OUTSIDE of my weapon range). Are you using rockets in your attacks?
I now know by heart the nearest Interstellar factor in any case... but it's a trip that takes me around 15min due to the 'vette short jump range. I'm thinking about letting my SLF at bay (I KNOW SLFs slow down your progression towards combat Elite - which is my current goal - but I enjoy flying with an SLF. That is, except on those circumstances).Every once in a while my SLF will trigger the cops, not sure what the exact circumstances are but sometimes it'll just happen. Only thing do do is keep your head on a swivel and get out before it escalates. If you can leave before your SLF decides to tag one you don't get a bounty and you can just go back. You'll lose a SLF but who cares.
Ouch!Never had sysauth go red at random, but I have witnessed a police Anaconda roll up to innocent miners for a scan and then just randomly murder them with a plasma accelerator before the scan even finished. It never engaged with its other weapons and the other cops didn't join in or react at all.
Turned out that the PA was just going off randomly for no reason so when it bore down on someone for a scan they received a complimentary negligent discharge.
Yes. Only problems with the exit/reentry strategy are when you have an SLF and when (like I often do) you're in the middle of a planetary ring with gravitational forces preventing immediate jump (what ? I'm sure I'm not the only one enjoying flying through an asteroid field with a 'vette while boosting, right?)I'm pretty sure it's a bug. I get it from time to time. Only one or two cops turn red and attack. The first time, i shot back and got a bounty on me. Now I just jump out and back in again to solve it. If you were hostile or had done anythung wrong, all the cops would be red, so it must be a similar bug to the one that makes the cops shoot each other.
Oh that may explain a lot as I've played very little in 2020 (jumped back into the game last december) and not that much in 2019.This is an old bug that was introduced about 2 years ago.
Yes... that occurred a few times a while back but at least that's understandable of them to be red and (potentially) to stay clean while they attack you.I've had hostile authority ships, but only while being hostile with the controlling faction. I had no bounty, but boy, would they change direction from all across the system to come and have a go at me.
