OK to self-destruct in Beta?

I'm sure this gets asked every Beta but I want to be positive since I am trying out exploring for the first time and never had to do this before...

If I self-destruct in the 1.4 Beta, it won't affect my real game, right? I am 8500LY from earth and it took me a long while. However, I'd like to test some of the new ships in the Beta build. Completely different servers, right? Right?

I REALLY don't want to make a mistake, here. You understand, right?

Yep, confirmed okay here and my 1.3 game is still fine. Just be very sure the beta watermark is on screen when you push the big red button.
