Newcomer / Intro Ok, where do I find Lithium in LHS3773

Frustration. Despair. Ive been flying around this system for what feels like an hour now. Docking at the various stations, checking the commodities market. where do I find Lithium. Help. Please? Im desperate. I really, really want to like this game. Right now I feel like Ive wasted my time, and money....:(

Yes that was a typo. Im so frustrated with this game. Havent completed the last 5 missions I started. Im so completely lost....

Here's how you find stuff anywhere:

1. Go to the Left-Hand Panel > Navigation > Galaxy Map

2. Click on the View pane

3. Make sure Show Trade Routes is highlighted

4. Click Clear

5. Select the commodities you are searching for in the drop down lists below

6. The map will now show Trade Routes for that commodity, look for where the commodity is coming from and go there

7. Profit

Diwrnach is right, but doing that will only show you the commodity class (unless I am mistaken). So you'll see metals being traded, but won't know which ones exactly. you can click on systems you have the trade data for and see top 3 exports, which also won't show you everything they have. but if you find one with lithium on the export list you're good. when you get there, you've got to go to the right station to get it (which you can find on the system screen).

You are mistaken. You can select the entire class or you can expand the drop-down list by clicking the arrow next to the class type and select individual commodities.

Thanks for the help people. I too seem to have missed the View pane, that would have made things a whole lot easier yesterday.

It doesn't make any difference. I used the filters to find a particular mineral, looked at the systems that had big thick export arrows and still spent three fruitless hours trying to find a station that sold the commodity, even those that said in the trade window they were exporting it!

Unlucky, but that hasn't been my experience. Since learning this stuff I have had no problems finding specific commodities for missions. I'll even take them on if they've got time limits of 30 minutes. I haven't failed to supply a mission objective yet.

Thankyou, even though this is over 4 months ago this has just helped me, prior to this i was just running around like a headless chicken.[up]

Ye I'll second the shout for eddb. It's great for making a trading route if you are jumping to a certain system. Might as well make some cash along the way
