Horizons Okay, you guys may have a point about the AI...

I picked a fight with a Vulture. All was going as usual, when suddenly... WHAT was that!? Near full shields, and full hull integrity, reduced to absolutely nothing in less than 1 second! I'll be opening a support ticket with this one, because that little cheating bot cost me 6,410,464 credits.

Feel like the same thing happened to me this morning in a Conflict Zone while I was in a Corvette. Although the Vulture was ramming me repeatedly first.

Well that's weird. I'm guessing a bug of some sort, like a weapon with a glitched engineer upgrade that made it destroy all your modules at once or something.

What the hell ahve you done

So you lost 6 mill. I've lost 25 million since yesterday .
The Ai is so tough with there advanced weapons that even in an Anaconda I stood no chance . The Game is ruined .
Change this or you'll lose your community . What am I supposed to do , fly around in a Sidewinder so I do not have to worry about insurance costs.
This wouldn't be so bad, but I only play in Solo , so it's a bloody joke .

I've enjoyed this Game for 16 months now until this update . It was tough enough before you twisted one off.
Support ticket for me too .

Yeah something has been changed since the last beta patch, they are so overpowered at the moment. After unlocking most of the engineers I thought I have my first combat in live 2.1. I took my A-grade FDL to a haz rez. I'm there for 2 mins and I'm attacked by a powerplay courier, and then two others ships join in and start attacking me. They are obviously using modded equipment as they strip my shields in about 30secs.

I flee, and barely get away with 62% hull (mirrored bulkhead) with constant boasting, which means they had modded/enchanced engines as well. I didn't even manage to get a chance to fire a shot off. They need to reduce the number of powerplay agents in another power's space, it was basically an army of them. Also they need to chill on giving npcs all modded equipment. Might have to leave powerplay, because it is a bit over the top at the moment.

I think this was more a case of the AI ignoring the fire rate of the weapon. It looks like I got hit by several perfectly placed plasma shots in that 1 second time span. Something similar happened yesterday when going up against a Clipper. It had extremely rapidfire railguns (faster than even the hammer) that almost killed me straight away. Sounded like it fired off about 10 shots in the span of 2 seconds. Managed to escape that one at least.

Did you report that as a bug (besides the support ticket)?

Yeah, please make a thread on the bug forum.

I see you had one pip in the sys. But damn that was instant death. They need to tone down the ai having the modded weapons or the ai was just cheating.

I also forgot to put them into weapons at first. Like I said in my initial post, "all was going as usual". :D

A little bit before you were destroyed, the computer called out "Warning: Thermal Attack, gaining heat."

And you did gain a small amount of heat.

More importantly, it leads one to the conclusion that the Vulture was definitely using modded weapons. Seems like that there's a broken mod on one of them. Wonder if FDev will be able to fix it before PvP'ers find it and start using it on players?

I wonder if its a bugged heat beam. This is in CQC but maybe its the same as one of the mods in the main game:

Actually, the thermal attack wasn't from the Vulture. Another ship firing at it accidentally shot me in the ass, which you can see on my ship's hologram. The Vulture's shots missed me by a mile just then. The only shots the Vulture got on me were at the end.. rather effective ones too.
