Newcomer / Intro old Elite player new player what manuals what keys

my question is where are the manuals with key layouts controls i know i just got the game but i am spending my time looking for manuals or in training going to controls and finding out what keys do what than back to training then back to controls is this me or just a way hack new players off
do i have to make a spread sheet up my self and list all controls and keys ???

But at least when you first start you need to perform a check list with most controls in it.(This can also be re-activated in your right console last tap.)

Sorry I am an Old Time player of Elite myself and I am spending most of my time trying to find out keys for things. The USER MANUAL is a waist of time, unless you are new to the game, AND know where every key command is.

I have been looking for the Fuel Scoop key to deploy the fuel scoop, can I find it, its not in the options or in that stupid effort of an online manual. Anybody know what the key is to deploy it?

The first thing I did when I started playing in beta was to go to the control options and make a note of all the keys I thought were useful and then keep it in front of me whilst I was playing. That way I could look them up immediately when needed.
After a bit of playing I went back and reassigned some to more useful keys for myself.
Now I know them all by heart.
Are you using keyboard and mouse or joystick?, I found it much easier when I dug out my old joystick.

I have a new player guide here that covers controls and a lot of the other little bits of info that the official manual (what manual?) doesn't cover.
