Old engineered parts not updating

I have a python which I had engineered about two years ago. I wanted to re-engineer certain modules recently in Shinrata Dezra but it wouldnt allow me to do any engineering with the old modules I would appreciate any advice. I don't mind re-engineering but there must surely be a solution to these older engineered modules

If the engineering took place before the major revamp to engineering, i.e. if they have "Legacy Mod" modifications applied, then it's likely that a visit to the relevant engineer for each module is necessary to "upgrade" them to the current engineering mod scale.

That was all the way back in 2018 though (yeah, I know, time flies). Although the OP might be doing the same thing with their use of 'a couple' of years ago.

2020 was only a few months ago wasn't it?

Note if they are legacy engineered then the process of converting them into the current standard will kick them back one grade and probably remove the special/experimental effect.

I converted something a few months ago but it was only G1 so everything was removed.

I just recently did this for my ships, I had to go to each engineer and call my ships to them... it took a little while, but now everything is up to the new standard. Which is so much better than the original engineering, IMO.

I did some engineering in Legacy Horizons a few days ago.
Still got three weeks' therapy to go.
