I'm also minor developer. And elite fan from first Elite.
For sake of ED prospering I advise:
- npc ships jump (escape) to hyper to much. Lower the %.
- since most of fighting/missions ships are kinda hard and take like x3 more time than trading missions or passanger's, make rewards higer. Its a must since risk is way higer. Who got biger salary,, salesman or solder?
- planets need more random valuable ilegal/legal canisters, its pointless to finde 50k vorth of canisters since all players who explore planets and collect materials allready got significant ammount of credits. Its just anoying.
- also planets need more *random events* like finding crashed ship and passanger/pod who wana be saved and delivered for 10M+ and such things.. (got alot of simple ideas but dont wana bother you with that now, you guys got your team)
- ranks dont have soul. So if King for example: make special greatings from imperial ships after they scan you (and apologize) , also stations, and unable to end up in jail for minor mistakes like others.
AND FOR THE END
- space events like living nebula or some creatures that can be rarely found in deep space exploring, after scanning it worth a lot. I would do it like space anomaly signatures. To boost up exploring in game.
- game lacks credits pit (like 99% of games out there, dont make same mistake). Make able to place small base/mining on planets that need loads of materials and ores. Components that are needed to be sintesized. Also those bases are only way to store cargo like ores. Like max up to 300. That would make a lot of ppl happy.
- private shipyards that are able to make capital ships and that also need gazilion of mats.
- capital ships missions that gives medals and medals opens vip clubs on some major funders planets where end game players can hang out and buy some rare outfits and things.
