? Old school goid hyperdictions don't leave wakes anymore ?

I first noticed 2 days ago when I got hyperdicted in the Pleiades by a medusa and 3 cyclopses. Typical shutdown pulse, scan, jump out - but when they jumped out none of them left a wake behind to scan.
To verify, I went to California, Witch Head, and Coalsack nebulas - same result. Hyperdiction, shutdown pulse, scan, jump out - all with NO WAKE left behind.

Sooo... code bug or new behavior incomming ?
 
There was a "bug fix" a few updates back which said it 'stopped Thargoid wakes from being visible very long distances away' (you used to be able to have them show as contacts at the edge of a Titan's caustic cloud, while the leaving Thargoids were at the center)... having noticed the same myself, I just guessed their solution - if you can call it that - was to remove the wakes from being visible (on sensors) entirely.

The data you would get from scanning them currently serves no purpose anyway, so it's not a huge deal. but still a bit odd.
