Omens & portents & reasons to stick with elite

My First evening in Eve since before lave con.

Disconnected at a very bad moment. I am dreading logging back in, i may have lost 1.5billion across 2 characters.

I get the message ... Keep playing Elite

I haven't logged into EVE for well over a year now, actually more than two I think. I left my corp with quite a few offices in very desirable systems. Must have cost me a LOT in rent and I may actually not have left enough in the account to cover it for that amount of time. My main is a fully skilled research boffin too so I think I have left a lot of very valuable blueprints on the go.
I honestly don't know if I will ever log back in again.

Speaking of EVE, I wonder how fair these comparisons would be in terms of ideology:

The Amarr Empire = The Empire
The Caldari State = The Federation
The Gallente Federation = The Alliance

My view is that The Amarr Empire is more decadant than The Empire, The Caldari State is probably really close to the Federation, and the Gallente Federation is more up itself than The Alliance. The Gallente have an identity whereas the Alliance is an aggregate of whoever is in it.

I haven't gone back on Eve since they took player names for their monument. I didn't agree with it because I was very uneasy about something which looked like a war memorial, so I didn't sub for that month and haven't bothered with it since.

I may go on it again, I dunno. I think I was training up specific skills for a bounty hunter character before I stopped.
