OMG how quickly things go wrong

Taking part in CG accidently shoot police 200Cr fine so I high wake out from kaal to kuk headed to station to pay fine get interdicted by bounty hunter in way they are red and wanted so could be a pirate get a 5k fine for killing him arrive at station get scanned and local securty opens fire and station revokes docking privilage I high wake out to some random system manage to dock but can't pay the fine so go looking through surrounding systems for an interstellar factor services person fine one but only with small pad fly the 60ly to get there can't pay the bounty
I know maybe different guys pay of different stuff so I try a couple still no joy I know I'll do the side wonder thing so I crash sidewinder into station job done I think bounty becomes dormant typical I think so I fly back to kaal or kuk where i kill myself there still have bounty so I then end up flying to the other one and mill myself there too
I'd just like to say what a pain it is when you accidently fire on someone it should be easier to clear off fines than it currently is and the whole matter was complicated by the fact that kuk and kaal are controlled by same miner faction something I didn't take into account when I tried to pay of the initial fine

Usually those fines are time limited to around 8 minutes or so. Or maybe I'm thinking of bounties. Only if you actually kill an NPC who was not scanned wanted first do you get something that sticks with you for a whole week. I think you might have been ok with the fine for shooting the cops, but killing the NPC on the way was probably a bounty, and that set you up to be targetted for the station patrol ships. Did you not try stealth to get into the first station (silent running, shut down most systems, watch for the cops flying their routine circuit, etc), just like smugglers do (I rarely need to do it personally, but that's roughly how I do it).

I didn't realise kuk and kaal had same minor faction that's why stuff excaleted but I did think the interstellar services guy was who you were ment to see to clear up such issues seems pointless having him if he can only deal with expired fines and bountys wasted about 2 hours of my Sunday evening game play

Enjoy them. There's nothing more fun than trying to fix a problem, only to make it worse, then trying to fix that, and make it even more ruined.
