Omg that took forever

Is this only on the direct course? Is there another circum course which is faster? I guess not, but just asking.Right on, OP, well done.
That is a very good question. With the introduction of the orrery it may be possible to figure out the best time to arrive at point A to ensure shortest distance to point B.Then again,i dont recall if the metrics are quite as detailed as previously, but im just happy to have it back.I used to spend the time checking my own notes(old skool) and recalculating time of arrival.Made a nice change from bumping into things.

I did my first couple of runs in a 180t Python, running interference for a small gaggle of T-6s that latched onto me as the obvious red-shirt in the group. When we arrived at the binary they scattered in all directions while I hoped to distract the pirates by diving into the star's gravity well then double-tapping J. When a couple of pirates joined (A Clipper and something else) I was already charged up & boosted back into supercruise & just managed to get the station 'safe to disengage' message as a second interdiction started and immediately failed.

It was a lot of fun, and the Code put on a terrific show.

After that I tried Mobius to see what it was like and helped a couple of players to unload their Condas. Unlike most I didn't have a collector onboard so was of limited use. It was a different kind of camaraderie, less intense but less welcoming too, I was simply expected to do my part it seemed. That was the last time I spent any significant amount of time in the Mobius group, although I am still a member of it I think.

There is room for lots of different playstyles in ED, I like that I can choose and I like that others can make a different choice.
I was there only once, in Mobius, in my 'Conda dropping off cargo. From what I remember there were no collectors/limpets back then so yeah, very tedious. After that I made my own PG for me and the kids to do some. They thought it was hilarious.

NO creed without the deed. Gotta do it at least once otherwise that story of walking uphill both ways in 3 feet snow won't have any effect.

Thought at first someone got his combat elite rank... but yeah, Hutton orbital takes a while as well [up]

Manually scooping in a Python is more impressive to me than the Hutton run!

I made the trip at least 20 times. Back in the day we could stack 20 data courier missions and fetch 60-80mil per run. That's for doing nothing but sitting there and watching netflix or whatever.

The cargo runs pay decent too. If they had a large pad and I could fill my Cutter or T9 and do Hutton runs I would, alas, they do not.
