On FB I was asked to post this on here,, so here it is.

"If you want to do something you will find a way. If you don't want to do something you will find an excuse.

A good worksman makes the best of his tools. A bad worksman blames his tools.

You make the best of what you've got. Create a strategy that works for you.

You don't whine that it won't let you do something. You adapt amd evolve.
You become better than you were.

If something is broken you report it. Then you continue while taking the fault into account. Create a work around. You adapt.

If you have an idea, share it. Don't expect everyone to like it. Don't expect anyone to like it. Put it out there and let fate take it's course.

You retain your moral high ground till you say I told you so.

If you attack or accuse someone, they will go on the defensive. They may ignore your idea out of spite. It's not a good strategy.

Always be nice. People usually bend over backwards for nice people. Don't expect people to bend over backwards. It's a good strategy.

Adapt and evolve, or stagnate and perish.

It's supposed to be hard.
It's supposed to be challenging.
It's a game.
It's life."

PS. If you don't like it, create a strategy that works for you and move on. I wish you all the best.
I have freedom of speech but that doesn't mean you have to listen. It works both ways.

Take care. :)

Agree totally! +Rep.

Two old sayings, in the same vein: "Where there's a will, there's a way" and "If you want to beat a dog, you will find a stick."

Ooh metaphor.

If the tool you used to use was reasonably suited to a task and then it was adjusted one night when you left it in the shed so that when you came to use it again the tool; 1) did a different job, 2) didnt do the new job particularly well. Who would be at fault, you or the tool?

Would you go out and get a new tool that could do what it was advertised as doing? Would you go back to the makers of the original tool and notify them as to the falseness of their claims / inability of their tool to complete its job?

Or, in the context of your post, adapt by continue using the original tool despite it being ill suited to complete the task and might mean that it takes the task hours longer than necessary?

I was thinking the same thing :) a bit of an idealistic notion!

If I bought a tool off eBay for £150 advertised as a variable-torque cordless drill, with hammer action, long battery life, fast charge, keyless chuck, high-quality metal gearbox castings, ergonomic grip and got this...

...I'm not sure I'd take that frame of mind!

Shops should sell high heeled shoes in men's sizes.

There...I've said it.

Dolcis do a range of shoes for those of a larger, wider foot. :)

OP should add;

"if you're determined not to enjoy the game, you will find a way."

Well said, deserves +1 rep, when I get home to my computer.

Men and women use different shoe sizes?

Womens' shoes use (used to use?) a smaller numbered size for the same physical size of shoe to make their feet sound smaller. Mens' size 11 ~women's size 10. (Rocky Horror fancy dress, before anyone raises an eyebrow.)

Back on topic: Well said OP.

So what you're saying is, unless you are posting something positive on the game, don't post? If something is broken, it's up to us to create a workaround?
Well I say, unless you have something critical, don't post. We don't need white knight, everything is awesome police here. We want the game to improve and evolve.
Also, it's not really a hard game. Not at all.

Never focus on problems, focus on solutions.
Never blame others, help them to get things right.
Be polite unless someone fires at your beloved ship, then just beat the living sh... Um... Er... Sorry :p

Is this from secret rule book of Mormon missionary? :D

Not bad a text, these kind of things tend to inspire people.

When you can balance a tack hammer on your head, you will head off your foes with a balanced attack.

To be frank, I hate this formulaic FB stuff.

I think the message is to be extremely careful, so you don't offend, annoy or enrage someone unintentionally. Unless, of course, that's your intention. :)
