on-foot 180 Quick-turn

add some "quick turn" option, either a button or tap backwards twice or something like that, am playin with a gamepad, and turning around takes forever with low aiming sensitivity :(

Hmm, didn't we have a thread the other say complaining about the unrealistic movement in low gravity and how players should bounce around and move much slower? Now I am not against improvements to the game, but asking for two entirely opposite changes, well it just means nothing will change.

I think this issue could be solved with sensitivity curves, where the last 5-10% of stick travel is a much stronger input than the previous 90%. Right now this takes third-party utilities, at least for anything that isn't a mouse, but it's something that always should have been in the game for other input devices.

These changes aren't opposite, and I'd argue what would be realistic movement in a suit without thrusters is implicitly unrealistic movement when wearing a suit that actively compensates for gravity with thrusters and even allows significant control while not in contact with any surface (which is something CMDR suits clearly do).

Regardless, I'd imagine that FDev is not giving all suggestions the same weight. A suggestion for a surely unpopular thing, that is not at all 'realistic' in the context of the game, that would take significant work to implement, probably isn't very likely. "Make movement worse by ignoring capabilities fundamental to all extant suits", is a non-starter.

On the other hand, a suggestion for a QoL feature that changes nothing fundamental about CMDR capabilities (the mouse, or controller with enough sensitivity can rotate a CMDR extremely fast), is totally different. May well never make the cut because workarounds do exist and it would take at least some work, but it's a much smaller and more justifiable change.

Don't recall turning around fast enough being an issue and I use a controller. But then I like my yaw twitchy, otherwise tracking targets on the horizontal is basically impossible.
