On-Foot content pays too little and is too difficult

Going to go out on a limb here and say that on-foot combat is now some of the hardest and most time-consuming of all Elite's activities, and it probably pays the least. Either payouts, difficulty, or both need to be addressed. 100,000 credits to infiltrate an bass full of security guards and armed skimmers that will mow me down in seconds if they so much as spot me once is not a fair trade. If I run from a scan I got given a bounty and get shot. If I yeild to a scan, I get given a bounty and get shot. If I draw my gun, I get given a bounty and get shot. If I touch anything in the base, I get given a bounty and get shot. I've yet to complete anything other than scavanger-hunt missions without dying and having a heap of bounties placed on my head. And I'm intentionally trying to pick the ones with the lowest threat value too. The last mission I took paid 200,000cr (stock price) and I checked the base terminal and it had about 20 guards posted and I counted at least 3 skimmers.

I can make that in 5 seconds by blowing up a wanted Eagle or two in a RES. This needs to change.

You need to do the easier missions until you can afford better weapons and equipment.

Right, but then why on earth we have all those non-upgraded guns and suits if you can't do a thing with them?
I have completed a couple of deliveries to buy laser pistol for shields and rifle to do the rest,
went on a salvage mission where 5 dudes spawned out of air next to the crash site. I managed to kill them but a second later ship came and dropped another 5.
I didn't had ammo left at this point and got killed in 3 sec. Brilliant!
It's too difficult and the mission has failed where I could actually tried again instead.

For the basics i think the fees are ok. But they don't scale with distance very well.
They also don't scale well with difficulty or time consumption, particularly when compared to ship missions. I can earn a million-plus credits for a risk-free mission that takes less than 10 minutes to transport some goods or passengers from A to B. But, I only get offered 300-400k for having to infiltrate a heavily-armed settlement and assassinate an NPC. It makes no sense.

Agreed on the payouts, for sure, but disagree that it's too difficult. You can do a lot with stealth, and I personally like that there's challenge.

Remember that ship combat also seems daunting when you first start and don't have any mods, and becomes basically a joke once you're fully tricked out. I would be careful asking them to make it easier now only to find it becomes totally anemic later on.

Yeah, but try those transport and passenger missions in a small ship and the Odyssey payouts are much closer in line and while they take (in proportion to payout) longer the actual credit value is often higher than whats available doing data/cargo at <20 tonnes.

So for you, the payout may be negligeable compared to what you can make hauling a conda/cutter/t9 full or an hour of mining etc. For me in my sidey, its a more even match,

Yeah, that's a fair point.
