Going to go out on a limb here and say that on-foot combat is now some of the hardest and most time-consuming of all Elite's activities, and it probably pays the least. Either payouts, difficulty, or both need to be addressed. 100,000 credits to infiltrate an bass full of security guards and armed skimmers that will mow me down in seconds if they so much as spot me once is not a fair trade. If I run from a scan I got given a bounty and get shot. If I yeild to a scan, I get given a bounty and get shot. If I draw my gun, I get given a bounty and get shot. If I touch anything in the base, I get given a bounty and get shot. I've yet to complete anything other than scavanger-hunt missions without dying and having a heap of bounties placed on my head. And I'm intentionally trying to pick the ones with the lowest threat value too. The last mission I took paid 200,000cr (stock price) and I checked the base terminal and it had about 20 guards posted and I counted at least 3 skimmers.
I can make that in 5 seconds by blowing up a wanted Eagle or two in a RES. This needs to change.
