Newcomer / Intro ON FOOT MISSIONS - SCAVENGERS

After the scavengers have been eliminated (or sometimes during that process... ) sometimes a contingent of commandos will arrive in a dropship .... sometimes not...
Any way of telling in advance if this is going to happen....?

Sometimes, a dropship will deploy on a previously "unoccupied" site whilst you yourself are scavenging. You can hear it leave it's glide and baddies can be seen absailng down.

I then hop back to SRV/ship, take off, then eliminate them with photon torpedoes.

Occasionally, the dropship may return - might be according to threat level, not sure - and deploy another squad. Then, you can again cry havoc! and let slip the dogs of war. Or missiles.

It's random. I've had 2 dropships show up at once, even. It just adds to the bounty count, so I'm ok with it

I always try to imagine what goes on in the head of those shipwrecked at an impact site as my Courier descends.

"A ship! We're saved!"
"Wait? It's deploying missile racks!"
"What in the wide world!?!? Run! RUUUUN!!!!"

I have had them absail onto the top of my ship.
I took off, then did a roll.

Oh, I would have boosted. If they were still hanging on, I would've SC'd. And detached the camera to see what would happen
