Instead of making a load of separate threads, just making a few ideas in this one for some ideas for improving the flow of On-Foot gameplay.
1) Revive. Simply revive a fallen team mate using a button and requires a medkit. (remember to revive the player with a small amount of energy so they don't die instantly again!)
Alternatively(or as well as) , a more complicated "carry" option, and you simply carry your fallen friend back to any friendly ship and drop them in the blue ring of life to revive them.
2) Loot NPCs. Like revive, but for NPCs, you run up, press a button and can loot various items off them using a menu.
Ammo, grenades, medkit, energy cells, plus all manner of materials and data.
3) Kinetic Sniper Rifle.
Just cuz' I want one. Lol
Very high kinetic damage, but very low shield damage. Bolt action, so single shot, reload, low ammo count.
Basically lethal to unshielded targets.
4) Respawn at Own or Teams Ship.
If you die with your own ship, or team members ship landed, you can opt to respawn there instead of anywhere else.
5) Modular Weapon slots.
Have "mods" you can collect/manufacture and store in your ship, and carry a limited number (based on suite type) in your suite inventory, which you can then swap and change on the go. Only for weapons, you can then swap them on the fly to suit the needs of the battle. (think Crysis or Battlefield 2042).
Then you can add a vast variety of mods, like scopes, silencers, grips, etc to engineer or find (see loot!) .
6) Hack Atmosphere Controls to Kill/Knockout Targets inside.
It'd be cool if you could use the environment to complete objectives or clear a building.
Hack the panel on the roof and either vent the building to kill all remlock-less NPCs inside , or tamper with it to render them all unconscious (non lethal stealth option, no bounties, remlock doesn't detect the change).
