Newcomer / Intro On Foot: Ship Destroyed, then killed

I payed a small fee to respawn on a prison planet.

I did not see a ship rebuy screen, so did I miss that?

If I didn't, does anyone know how to rebuy my ship?

I'm also using the taxi to head back to where my other ships are stored. Anyone know how to call\transfer one of those to where I am?

No need to feel stupid it is unfamiliar to all of us.

I am don't know what happens regarding rebuy for a ship destroyed on the ground when you aren't in it.
If you were on foot then your ship would be unlikely to be destroyed when you were killed so wouldn't need to be rebought.

You can call ships to an Inter Astra facility at a station or surface port as long as that ship doesn't have anything at all in cargo.

While on the surface you can recall a dismissed ship using the wheel menu you use to book an Apex shuttle but you can't call a ship docked elsewhere that way.

Thanks much commander! Inter Astra allowed me to rebuy the ship. As you posted, it would have also allowed me to pay to transfer a ship. That ship was the first ship I had ever bought in game. I would have mourned it for years.

Yep indeed CMDR. The cool thing with Odyssey is you can take an Apex to anywhere and pick up your own ships via Astra too! Example: if I travel to Taygeta to pick up my Cutter cost me next to nothing compared to transfer cost of 11m CR from where I am.

You are limited to 100 ly trips. It cost me ~45,000 credits for 90 ish light years. I'd rather pay the transfer fee, if one has the credits to do so.

I did use the taxi to start making my way back to where I had my ships. It is possible, but over long distances I'd recommend plotting the trip carefully to avoid things like spending 3 hours in normal space sitting in a taxi on the way to a station. Doh!
