Only thing I can narrow this down to is an oversight from FDev, or a bug, all you can do is wait for them to fix it, in the meantime, just shoot things together, or partake in Combat Zones together, those are quite fun if you can handle the performance issues.

No one knows but Fdev, who — in their infinite wisdom — decided to advertise an expansion as being based around teamplay, heists and multilayered missions... and then provide solo missions only.

Maybe we’ll get them in a year or two if we ask really nicely.

This is their design, it's not a bug or oversight, they took years to implement "wing missions" in ships, and even then, it was a special type of mission instead of just being able to share any mission you had.

Their designers seem to hate the idea of taking a mission, then your buddy turning up, helping, and also getting paid.

It's really very odd

This is propably one of the dumbest mistakes/oversights/FEATURES!? of Odyssey. It was literally the first thing a buddy and I looked up on station, nothing to do for us as a team. IN A MMO. Where you're at least partially supposed to do things cooperatively. That's also the part of Elite I enjoy most, doing this with my buddies. Longtime Player and LTE Pass holder here, so not really a new experience, but still frustrating to say the least. Odyssey as of now is a glorified Beta. Frontier should get their stuff together and quick.
