On My Pilgrimage to Sagittarius A*

Sag A is alright. Glad I went, got the achievement. But the Great Annihlator is the most impressive black hole I've seen. Insane light bending! I strongly recommend a visit. It's on the way between 2-3K away from Sag A.

I second this. In fact I recommend going to Sag A first, as had I done that I'd have been in awe twice. As it was, I found Sag A a bit "meh" compared to the Great Annihilator.

Well that didn't go as planned - after my January prediction for reaching Sagittarius A in 5-6 weeks I've pretty much not played the game since (A dead Xbox didn't help). So I'm getting back into playing ED and I'm currently 4600ly from reaching the 'Centre of the Galaxy'.

Earth feels a looooooooong way away.

Hull is at 94%, but I'm out of heat sinks thanks to two binary systems and one accidental trigger pull (Doh!), so my FSL better play nice when exiting hyperspace. The good news is I've still got plenty of repair parts left.

Thats why i loaded up with 2 heat sink launchers. I stopped in a binary system between 2 close ones. I had the heat sink launchers mapped to the secondary fire group. After that encounter i mapped the one to my first fire group.

Poppen one by accident by being a complete idiot. Popped another one by dropping the controller. 4 heat sinks left and moved them to the secondary group again...[big grin]

Are we there yet?

Arrived at Sagittarius A*. Here's my celebration, featuring Orion, Verity, Hazel, and Zira:

I should say that, if you don't want to know what Sag. A* looks like until you get there, it might be better not to watch.
