On the way to the jellyfish nebula and ran out of route lines what did I do wrong ?

Have fuel , have reached end of plotted course .. there are no more plot lines to any where except back to where I came from ???
A silly question, but have you tried plotting to another system?
It is possible to turn the plot lines off in the galmap as well, I wonder if that has happened inadvertently?
