One big monitor v 2 monitors?

Which is best for ED?

UPDATE : Thank you for your input. I going for a 32-35" ultra wide, curved screen (a 4k with bits added to the sides) maybe using my current for a 2nd. But there are dozens. Can anyone recommend an impartial, diligent review site?

I think I would be pushing it two. Space is at a premuim, plus I have to get it through the W.A.P. (Wife Approval Process). :)

EDIT : Why on earth is W.A.P. ,without the dots, a banned word?

I know we all hated the protocol during the 1st phase of mobile phone internet access.

1 big 4k monitor. Used to have three monitors (a 30 inch and two 20 inchers), but swapping to one 40" 4K monitor was a great choice.

I have 2. Well i have 3 but not on this pc i have 2 on one pc and one on one. So 30+19, i play ED on my 30 and have youtube/eddb/inara/whatever open on 19.

At least two monitors, even if they are not the same size. One for playing the game (borderless window), any others for displaying a browser, GPU monitor or whatever.

I have three monitors but only play the game on one.

Because it has been used as derogatory term for people of Italian decent, though only by those who cannot spell, and the original, correctly-spelled term was an acronym for "With Out Papers", referring to those coming in to Staten Island without immigration forms.

It's also a term used for the most prominent aspect of female anatomy, though I don't know by whom - I've heard quite a few terms for sweater puppies, but never this one in actual use.

That said...

Dual Monitors for sure. Having a second monitor has saved me from death-by-boredom on countless trips to Hutton Orbital (actually the count is 57, but..) and countless hours in deep space.

One monitor to rule them all, but don't go for a normal monitor go all out and get a BIG screen 4k TV [yesnod] You will still have the screen space to watch other things while playing the game in a high resolution and usably large window while being able to web browse to your hearts content, or you can go full screen on the large screen for immersion when not doing boring things like space trucking / jonking.

VR does beat all those solutions though, I started with dual screen - only one for gaming, then went triple screens - eyefinity / surround gaming, nowadays I'm fortunate enough to have both a rift and a 65" screen on my desk, if I had to chose between them I'd have the rift and a normal monitor.

VR. :D

I'll get my coat...

Though on a more serious note, I played on a single huge screen (2.5m wide) for the first couple of years and enjoyed that. I could have played it on my multi-monitor setup, but I preferred the big screen (and the 7.1 sound, of course - that makes a huge difference too).

I'm doing a bit of both. I have an ultrawide for the fun stuff and I use my old regular 16:9 screen for everything else.
If you only want one option I'd recommend one big ultrawide over two monitors. You get one uniform display without a bar in the middle.
