I've posted about this before, but was told to post it in the wishlist thread instead, so sorry if this is a duplicate thread.
Since the 1.8 update, the Classic Roof Trim Wood pieces have been coloured differently then they were before that update.
They used to have the same color as the Planet Zoo Planks, but now appear much lighter/brighter in colour, as can be seen here:
All these planks can still be recoloured along with eachother, as they could before, but the colour is off.
This is very frustrating, as it's now necesary to color each of these plank types independently, even though this is clearly not intended, or so I thought.
When reporting this issue on the issuetracker, it was labelled as "by design".
The classic roof trim wood pieces literally share a flexicolor with the planet zoo planks, yet due to this change they are no longer the same color. This makes zero sense to me.
The pieces can be recolored as one, implying that they're the same color (which they used to be, mind you). Yet this was changed to make them in line more with stone pieces?
Why do wood pieces need to be in line with stone pieces and not the wood pieces they were already in line with?
Why would you change the colors of these planks this late into the game?
Are you asking players to manually change all their existing planks because you felt the need to change them?
That has to be some sort of bad joke, I have hundreds of these planks throughout my zoo.
You might argue that changing it back now messes up people's current builds.. Well you should've thought of that when you changed it the first time, didn't stop you then.
I brought this issue up in a chat with a support agent about another issue, who told me to post to this forum thread. So here I am.
Please reconsider this change, or adress it some way. It makes no sense, not only is it rediculous to now have to recolor all existing planks due to this change, but it has also created an inconsitency between wood sets that share a flexicolour channel, which will continue to be an annoyance going forward (having to color each set individually, painstakingly trying to match the colors instead of them just matching inherently).
I personally don't see how any choice but reverting the change would be deemed logical.
Thanks for your attention.

I wish I could say I understand why this decision was made, but frankly I don't.texture changes were made to the Classic Roof Trim Wood set to keep them in line with the changes that were made to the Classic Roof Trim Stone set which we enabled flexicolour for with the release of 1.8.0
