one shot by the space base

i picked up a container outsside the base, and ggot scanned and a bounty for carrying stoiled goods, and was promtly dispatched 2 seconds later without even a chance to turn tail - i was in a hauler...

I think they should make this more clear that picking something up will flag you, otherwise tons of new players WILL be killed by griefers dropping items outside stations.

A simple solution might be color coding the cargo minigame UI. Have it go green if you can pick up the item and it's fine. Have it turn some other color if what you pick up will flag you as a criminal. And then naturally red when you're going too fast like now.

quick press that DEL key, too bad you can't selectively dump cargo.

can you scan containers for what's inside them?

I knew it would flag me, it was the instagib that was the surprise.. i just kinda assumed i'd run if i got into trouble...

Unless it's something dropped by an ally or as part of a mission anything you pick up will be marked as stolen (and therefore can only be sold on the black market) and if any law enforcement scans you with it (a very good chance since the new beta) in your hold you'll get a bounty in that jurisdiction, so now point having red or green cargo scoop scanners coz they'll pretty much all be red. As for griefers dropping cargo for noobz to pick up, dropping cargo within the no fire zone is now a crime too, so the griefers would quickly be running from the law too (and dropping it outside the NFZ won't have much effect).

Basically, if you pick up stray cargo you better be ready to run for a station with a black market and no vipers.

Ya but it should be added that any dropped cargo in that area is destroyed by the police.
