It's been bugging me for ages. This onesie thing. The image it brought into my mind always reminded me of something, then my sister said the other day 'Will he be able to wear babygros in italy with the heat?' And I was like BABYGRO!

As I understand it, onesie is more or less synonmous with the word I knew as babygro, although the one-piece suit for adults is different but more or less the same, babygro for adults. Another difference is babygros usually have feet on them. For some reason I always pictured this was true for onesies too.

I still hate the word onesie, there's something lazy about it that I don't like.

No, it does not cover enough of the body, unless it is much bigger... though then its called a bin bag or sleeping bag.

It required legs, and arms and torso cover.. hood is optional, also feet optional.

Now the only place where condoms are similar to onesies.. is sometimes you will find a **** in them.


Also people who refer to themselves as 'real men' don't use either.

The ones I see people wearing out don't have attached feet. Those people usually wear runners (trainers).

I'm still gobsmacked by them wearing them to go out in.

I happily live in Italy, NOBODY in Italy wears 'A Onesie'. Unless Grant comes to visit.

I have issues with people / adults wearing them. A few months back there was a young woman wearing one - some sort of polka dotted bear thing, pink fluffy slippers and nothing else. It had been raining, so it was very obvious this was the case. It just looked tacky, cheap and done deliberately to try and shock / titillate.
