Hayo. This is a list of feedback and my hopes/constructive criticism for the game.
There is a lot of potential in this game, but it also has many rough edges and aspects which feel unfinished. It is my hope that Frontier and the PlanCo2 team will take the feedback of the community to heart rather than tuning us out, or considering this feedback unnecessarily harsh or not worth their efforts.
There are many quality of life aspects that were included in Planet Coaster 1 and Planet Zoo that are currently nowhere to be found, and would vastly improve the game play experience.
Many of these items are highly requested and it is my sincere hope that I will soon be able to cross them off as we see them added into the game. As it is, I cannot recommend the game to others and I would love to have a fully functional game that is worth recommending and purchasing DLC for in the future.
- A working barrier-type object which blocks guests, such as the ribbon barrier/stanchions from PC1 is urgently needed. Preferably one that can be sunk under ground and still work. Deleting path to prevent people from walking through decor is not always possible and this severely limits how creatively you can build in the game.
-Remove logos from queues coming in December update / more queue textures please?
-Platforms with multiple flumes do not correctly display wait times. Coming in next hotfix?
- Ability to create square grid / cattle pen style queues is sorely missed.
- Particle affects such as water also respond to camera and appear to change relative position and layer behind or in front of objects relative to the camera position.
- Tree textures don't move properly with the model. Or there seems to be a separate hitbox for foliage model affected by wind that responds to the camera and warps too far out of the base tree model.
- On that note, could we please have a way to disable trees and plants moving (stretching/warping) in the wind. I imagine this would be helpful from a performance standpoint, but also it is a visual accessibility issue.
- As many have asked for, some zone at the bottom of flumes that guests will not swim through is needed.
- Human animatronics are sorely missed,as is the ability to upload custom images and sound files into the game. custom media will supposedly come in a future update, tba.
- Blue highlight / overlay while recoloring objects is highly counterintuitive and makes it difficult to get colors right.
- There is no way on player's side to avoid Z fighting on flumes, another visual accessibility issue.
- Flumes appear to age and guests react to them being "old" but there is no refurbish option, and they do not seem to require maintenance in the way that rides do.
- Terrain stamp tool (from Planet Zoo) is sorely missed.
- Guests walk through entertainers and many other things they should collide/avoid. Including pool chairs, yes even those with guests in them. They can also push each other through things like corners of paths, bins etc.
- Groups scaling of objects does not work the same on all objects in the group.
- Ability to place benches and bins on the outer border of paths, not just the inside them, like in PC1 and PZ.
- Ability to customize / change the color of lights on flat rides.
- Please allow us to click on / subscribe to blueprints in workshop without clearing all tags each time.
- In UI, item names don't display on hover after searching until you click off of the search and back onto the menu.
- In UI please allow us to click enter (or button click on consoles) to confirm selections & choices.
Thank you for your time and please feel free to comment
