Onion Head Decals on Cobra white, not green?

Hey everybody,

I just got myself a Cobra mkIII as I didn't fly one in ages and got the Onion Head livery pack. Maybe I even bought the Cobra just for the Onion Head paintjob :)

Strangely the decals coming with it don't show in green, as shown in the Frontier store, but in white or maybe greyish, which is a little disappointing. Would be way cooler with the matching green.
Now I understand that the decals work on every other ship, too, and on those ships they're white/grey for understandable reasons.
Shouldn't they match the Onion Head green on the Cobra though?
Anyone experienced this or is it just me or did I just miss something?

If you are talking about just the decal on its own, yes it can be white looking on some paint jobs, which is no bad thing, but as you can see with the onionhead paint job it works well enough.

Are you looking at the decal inside a station? The lighting affects the appearance quite a lot.

Edit .... ok ... my image is the onionhead paint job, without the decal you are referring to, so apologies for that. Yes it is white.

I notice a lot of the decals seem to change colour depending on what paint job you apply.

Is that, perhaps, what's going on here?

One thing I noticed about colors in outfitting. If you have a Custom HUD color set, the weapon and paint colors in outfitting change as well. This may also affect decals. Noticed mine were white last night, but I'm running a Cool Blue HUD.

Makes sense but I don't use custom HUD colours, so that's not the problem here...
