Online and off my head

Last night I decided to play ED after downing a whole bottle of red wine and popping some prescription drugs. Needless to say, this was a somewhat rash decision. I have hazy memories of trying to dock and hitting full thrust by mistake, resulting in the catastrophic loss of an Eagle and its cargo of titanium. I managed to buy it back on insurance and then promptly fell asleep in space. When I came to, I had run out of fuel and oxygen, ending the game for me again. This second time I did not have enough money left to pay the insurance so I think I am now back to square one.

So, please heed my advice and don't mix drinking and playing ED, and be careful around your fellow players as well because some may not be fully compos mentis!

Done it a few times. Most embarrassing was engaging afterburner when undocking and ramming into the space dock wall and exploding. Actually, that's happened a couple of times :(

Montpierre Reserve Fitou 2012 (£5 from Sainsbury's) plus a couple of Ropinirole Hydrochloride if you must know. Best avoid!

Noted....

3 cans of Thatchers Gold and 8 of strongbow here........

I need L plates...........

Luving it......

Well I think I am................Who can tell......

Ummm not sure if wine and prescription drugs is a great idea.

As an aside. I was docking this afternoon and my 2yr 9m old ran up, wanting a go, and hitting random keys. She turned of flight assist and rotational correction just as I went through the letter box. I held her hand to stop her and accidentally hit boost

End result- daughter in tears and Eagle bouncing around the station like a pinball!

Regained control and landed with 3% hull then went to comfort daughter. Got to get priories straight!

I've powered into the side of 2 stations today... without the help of alcohol or prescription drugs.

Is that better or worse? :S

I managed to stay relatively sober for last nights flying. A bit of MacAllan, a dash of Talisker, some Laphroiag and a dram of Johnny Walker to set the base line; the old Cobra was running real smooth although I wasn't hitting much with the cannons.

Then Button 2 broke off my joystick, used for secondaries in the current fire group... That would be either said cannons, or chaff in fire group 2. Some liquid nails may have fixed the issue, but that was a short and intense life of that FLY 5.

There is a Rhino in the mail now. I certainly hope I didn't order a real rhino.

:D S
