Online Photo storage sites Question?.

Years ago I opened a free account with the Photobucket site thinking it was a good idea to keep backups of my pictures. When ED stopped us loading screenshots directly to the forums from our PC/Laptop I then opened an ED album there and started uploading ED screenshots to it if I felt like wanted to post them here to the screenshots thread eg. I've done this for at least a year although pretty seldom posted any photos here. Photobucket must have changed some rules or something as today I get an Email stating that I have to upgrade to a Plus 500 Plan as I have been using Photobucket for 3rd Party Hosting. Now I don't mind having to pay for something but the two or three times a year I think, "that's a good one, I will post it at ED" don't justify the cost I feel. What do you other ED screenshotters do/use in this situation?.

I use Imgur for the few screen caps I put on here. Works fine for me :)

Maybe Flickr would work as well, though I've not used it for ED shots. I'm not aware of any restrictions, but I have a premium account there for dumping airshow photos and things like that on.

Personally I would just use the free storage space from your Google Drive / One Drive for photo hosting. Actually I am doing that right now for Google Drive, whenever I need to submit screencaps for my Buckyball Runs.

Every so often I check my local screenshots folder for pics I deem worthy to keep, then I convert them to jpeg and auto-sync them to Google Drive. I add them to a shared folder and a few select people automatically get a little notice to say that I've added more photos to my shared 'Elite Dangerous' album, which is useful for friends who don't play the game but like to check up on what I've been up to. If I'm out somewhere and bored, I just whip out my smartphone and scroll through my pics too on the Google Photos app and set a new wallpaper on my phone, tablet etc. It's like a travel diary. Cool fun :)
