Only 100cr to start!

You do need to be careful with fuel. You can buy a fuel scoop though, I'll go into that in more detail with the next video. There is actually an easier way to make money with exploring - very easy in fact but no matter what you do you're gonna eventually have to learn how to escape interdictions because they seem to be very common.

It's a bit complicated because the design is pretty bad - but basically you need to set a keybind to "next fire group", then set up a fire group for your discovery scanner. After that you can choose then "fire" the scanner instead of your lasers after you reach a system, and it should hopefully find more "astronomical objects" (which show as unexplored in the navigation tab) at which point you can go visit them to scan further, making more cash.

It's ridiculously complicated to even explain in writing, which is why I knew it would make a good video. The game UI is very, very old-school and is probably the #1 issue that new and younger players will have with the game, imo.

the game really need cheats code

Nah it doesn't. A lot of the best Commanders will tell you that the Viper is the best pvp ship and it only costs ~140,000 credits. Like any other game you still have to put in a little bit of work at the start before you get the real goodies.

For me the Eagle is awesome and it only costs about 40K (or free since I'm a beta buyer, but I'd rather work my way towards it instead of taking a freebie). I can probably make 40K in 40 minutes at the start of the game anyway.

You don't need cheat codes, you need practice. And more practice. That's the way it was for all of us.

Second start and exploring - found a system but 2 stars - no planets but too little fuel to hang around. Yet again on way back jumped by very high rated pirate and destroyed. How can anyone learn this game when every trip I get targetted by some sort of ace pirate and destroyed. About 2 secs after dropping out of FSD I have no shields and 20% hull let alone try to fight. If this carries on then bye bye game. Does anyone explor without fighting these very high ranked pirates?

Either:

Avoid the Interdiction by keeping your ship pointed at the escape vector (blue bars on the left will fill up)

Or:

Submit to the interdiction by slowing down, and when you drop into the interdiction, switch 4 pips to engines (2 to system), and boost away until your FSD is back online and you can jump out.

As per Zebarmy's comments, however i'd strongly advise you learn how to master interdiction evasion with your current ship, just incase they are a good shot and in a faster ship, engine boosting probably wouldnt help in that instance.

Its been a while since I started with 100cr - and the first 20k ish really was a grind, but I suspect missions have made this easier - I'm hoping this is one area where the balance is reviewed carefully. Certainly upgrade pricing is kind of exponential, so the first rung on the ladder isn't too far. In a sense, a few restarts early on is a good tutorial structure, but it can be very annoying at times.
