Only become max rank with one faction?

Is it really plausible that a player can be maximum rank in all three factions? Conflict of interest much?


Maybe cap the top rank to only one faction?

Or add bonus "loyalist" tag to one faction to get a few added bonuses?

The way the rank systems currently work is that the rank(s) you have achieved are honorary. You do not actually hold a rank in the federal, imperial, or alliance(coming soon) navies, since you are not actually a member of said navies. Holding a 'rank' with a navy does not grant you any place in said navy's command structure (no commanding fleets of battlecruisers or interdictors). The ranks you hold are more like titles (such as CMDR) given to you by each of the superpowers.
