Only one to lose cargo?

Hi, I'm a newby. I have completed transactions to buy cargo several times only for it to disappear during flight so that when I arrive I have nothing! First couple of times, I assumed I hadn't completed the transactions but since then I have been careful to check successful buy and credit balance. Even then, when I arrive at my destination, I have no cargo. What gives?

Also, what about adding an option to spend time in spaceports gambling for credits or even for ownership of ships? Would that be cool or not?

I know it isn't part of the original elite - I played it for ages when I was 17 (now 47, how sad!), but with the new capabilities, what do people think?

I've never lost cargo in flight, but I haven't bought much cargo in recent versions of the game. Are you sure you haven't accidentally hit the "dump all cargo" key? Not sure what the default control for it is, I've always un-bound it as a first priority when setting up my controls.

Least useful key ever. Unless you feel the need to appease pirates as fast as possible. Personally I prefer using lasers.
