OOC question about Voice attack

I know that you can use simple voice commands to control your ship using Voice attack, but is there something more RP friendly? For example, instead of saying "request docking" you have to say something like "Tower, this is Gutamya Zero Romeo India requesting clearance for VFR approach, over." to get the system to send the request.

You can do that - but you'd have to program it yourself. Voice attack supports scripting and (I think) LUA.
You'd need to get familiar with the ED API so you can pull down universal variables like station name, status, ship names what ever you'd need.

Time consuming and though a great idea my experience with HCS Voicepacks - is that eventually all that cool stuff wears off after a while and may become annoying.

Still - might be worth a shot if you've got the skill to put it all together.

I used the approach of having the command "Request landing clearance"
Then have the 'ship's voice' contact the station to request landing in the manner your describe.
That was there is still a shortish command for VA to work with

What Werewolf13 said. I use Eden myself and have added thousands of extra commands that I feel are more immersive than the default options.
