Oooh - game dynamics a little tougher again

Interdictions seem up and I just got my ass handed to me by a hard-as-nails NPC pirate in a fully kitted Asp (not a mission)!
 
Looks that way to me too, just had a helluva game taking out an anaconda, had to use all 4 cells, took a few points of hull damage, just got him before he jumped. Good fight :)
 
Yep, that shield cell has come in really handy today. I think alot of folks out there who are trading without shields had better think again. I scraped out of a tussle with an Asp earlier today and quite honestly I've never taken that much damage so quickly in an interdiction. It's getting dangerous and that's how it should be. Great job FD, but that's dangerous enough for now thank you!
 
I entered into what I thought was going to be a standard fight with an Annie earlier today but things have changed. I was in my Cobra and got my backside handed to me in less than a minute. I managed to run but there was no way I was getting that 61K bounty. If this change is permiating through the game in terms of difficulty I'm very pleased. It will make future bounties and victories all the more worth while and give us all a greater sense of achievement.
 
About time.. When you start getting multiple "the game is too easy" threads you gotta know you've gone too far with the balancing thing. Maybe we'll start seeing NPC's with shields again.... Oooh.
 
It's good that it's gotten challenging again. I had a helluva time off of a nippy little Competent Eagle earlier. Couldn't believe my eyes that he put up a fight. He kept trying to out maneuver me.. He almost got my shield down too - the cheeky devil - although once his shields were down, he was toast!

Might have to buy a Viper now, just to increase my manoeuvrability. Or sell my Cobra's 16T fuel tank!
