After a couple of abortive attempts I am on my first proper exloration trip. I'm about 2200 ly out from the bubble heading towards the Elephant's Trunk nebula.
In an unexplored system I noticed an unidentified signal source (I always run away from these in the bubble), but out here I locked on in supercruise and jumped out 7 seconds away as usual, but then forgot to throttle down. My T6 ploughed straight through the target before I even knew what it was.
"Target destroyed" said the emotionless voice in my cockpit.
Please tell me I didn't just run over ET?
